There was a new message in my inbox. She said hi, telling me that she just arrived in York and had a couple of free days before the term begins. She asked if I fancy some tea together. "Yes, why not?" and I offered to discover the city with her.

She was fun, lively, optimistic, bright, independent, approachable, everything I wish I was.
Her name is Lina. My new friend.
